Secretary's Message

It’s a great pleasure for me to welcome you to Govindrao Warjukar Arts & Commerce College, Nagbhid. The Janhit Education Society, Brahmapuri that manages the college was formed by a group of college teachers with a view to propagate education and create quality higher education facility in the socially and economically backward class dominated region in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. It’s been a matter of immense satisfaction to me that the Govindrao Warjukar College started by us has established itself as an eminent rural education institution in Gondwana University, Gadchiroli in a short span of time. The college has been continuously striving for excellence since its inception, and the fruits of those labours are visible today in form of being reaccredited with B++ grade and CGPA 2.91 by NAAC, Bangalore in 3rd cycle. I give the credit of this achievement to the Principal and the staff of the college.

With the help of qualified and dedicated staff, consistently up graded learning resources and ICT oriented teaching-learning, we have been trying to fulfill the higher education aspirations of the people residing in this rural area. We aspire to develop the identity of our college as an educational center that successfully nurtures the local youth for facing global challenges. Commitment to serve our students by providing quality education to all is one of the basic tenets on which our college stands. We ensure overall development of the students to bring out the professional qualities in them.

Much is done and much more is proposed to be done as Govindrao Warjukar Arts and Commerce College, Nagbhid marches ahead. We are sure to reach the summit of our aspirations with the constant cooperation of all the stakeholders of the institution.

I am proud to lead an institution with a spectacle of fine blend of tradition and modernity. With experienced and dedicated teachers and excellent infrastructure, our college helps students to realize their goals in life. I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the college and involve themselves in all the extra-curricular activities that are offered. The overall development of the mind and body is a sign of a healthy and complete development.

The purpose of education is to teach our children to think and develop a capacity to reason out facts. Students should keep in mind the importance of planning and prioritizing their time and the effective use of it which are essential to achieve success. Students should always think and review – discover the cause and effect of every event, in which they are involved. Do not surrender or become a slave to youthful fancies and indulgences. Be steady in your studies. Learn to enjoy hard work, particularly your studies. Think wisely, think systematically.
