About The Department:
The Department of History was established in 1986. Dr. Rashmi Band is the Head of Department since its establishment. She is Research supervisor of RTM Nagpur University and Gondwana University Gadchiroli. She has completed one Minor Research project.

Major Activities:
- Project work on “Forts of Chhatrapati Shivajis Era.” And “Indian Freedom Fighting Movements” was assigned to the students in academic session 2022-23.
- Student Presentation on “Shivaji Maharaj: An Ideal Personality” was Organised.
University work:
- Member of Board of studies Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj ,Nagpur University Nagpur.
- Framed the syllabus in semester pattern for newly established Gondwana university as a member of Board of studies.
- Working as the chairperson of Board of studies from 2014 and framed the entire syllabus for CBCS which will be implement from the academic year 2016 – 17.
- Member of Academic council and BUTR.
